I'm very interested in doing this, but I'm not going to pay $2500 for it. Anybody in the know? Any easier ways?

    Where are you seeing $2500?

If I were buying this, I wouldn't go nav. A Nexus 7 fits nicely on the screen shelf and runs Waze after hotspotting a cellphone.

Not looking for Nav. Just touchscreen with Intellilink.

$600 per the linked site. You're on the hook for installation.

For what your going to pay to try an get just intellilink you may as well get the navigation upgrade along with it. There are a few post on here of people that have done it already. I am in the process of doing the upgrade now. Just have to get the new unit unlocked and I am ready for install. All said and done I would be $700 or less.

Howdy Erehc79- From all the research I've done, the Nav is a waste of time, and I'd have better luck using my phone (no qualms with that). My intent with the intellilink is for the Bluetooth functionality. I see you have the 2012 equivalent of my '11 CXL (same radio).

Would you mind posting exactly what you have had to go through, and what you have bought? I'm looking for a dummies guide on doing this. I'm an electrician, so wiring is not a hard task.

My 2012 Touring model has nav but no streaming bluetooth. I would gladly trade one for the other.

If you want semi-current nav data, you need to pony up almost $200 per year for the nav disc. My solution is to lay a Nexus 7 on the shelf in front of the screen and hotspot from my smart phone to provide data to the tablet to run Waze. Current, up to date maps, with traffic and cops too.

I ended-up buying a bluetooth adapter for the car. I don't want the Nav, I want the touchscreen intellilink.

You can also talk to the guys at MVI from Colorado they sell and specialize in GM product upgrades for all these cars. They can even do programming for you if need to. I have talked with them before about upgrading mine but just have not got around to doing it yet but hopefully within the next year I can.
