  1. 2017 regal sport touring long crank before starting ?

Sounds like maybe the fuel pump is not priming the system. I had that problem with my 85 Golf in about 91. I fixed the problem, can't recall what it did it, pre internet days I threw a number of parts at it, but I believe it was a relay - this was my first fuel injected car. On that car, the...
  2. 2012 Buick Regal turbo

I am with you .... I don't understand either. Maybe it is a Diesel? Wouldn't be a US car.
  3. Buick Generation 3 license plate

I guess I am a 3rd Gen also .... will have to ask my Dad if might be 4th Gen, don't recall what his grand dads drove! Dads first new car was a 64 LeSabre. That car stayed in the family until at least the mid 80's when my Uncle finally sold it to a non family member. GrandDad had a Wildcat, I...
  4. 2012 Buick Regal turbo

Are the cams turning? How many miles and how many of those miles since you purchased it?
  5. 2017 regal sport touring long crank before starting ?

Battery? In my experience they get weak after 1.5 to 2 years, but my car is 5 years older and has a very few more miles on it, so not driving it as much is what I blame at least for the last 3 batteries. Get it check with a load test at a parts place like ORielly.
  6. 2017 Misfire

Okay. So you changed coil packs and VVT Solenoids. Did you change the plugs? If so what brand plugs did you use? My engine is different and uses different plugs, but when I changed them a few weeks ago for the first time at 80K, Cyl 1-3 had extended their gap from the recommended .035 to...
  7. P0089 code.

    Pressure regulator maybe also.
  8. 2017 Misfire

Didn't understand that from the message above my reply. Okay .... let us know if solenoids make the difference, it did with mine.
  9. 2017 Misfire

Yes .... that is why it also has 259HP and 295lb/ft TQ instead of 129HP and half the TQ. But the coil packs have wires that connect to them to power and fire them which have a plastic plug to connect them with lock that has to be handled a certain way to remove them without breaking them. On...
  10. 2017 Misfire

But ... If I recall, almost all of those message threads stare with a misfire code on the OBDII and probably get the blinking check engine light while it is misfiring. Make sure oil is clean. Remember, car requires 91 Octane. You need to tame the car from the previous owners bad habits ...
  11. 2017 Misfire

Misfires should throw a code, which will lead you to which cylinder(s) they are occuring at. Sounds like yours is running rough. You apparently don't have a maintenance record with the car since you just purchased it so no clue if it has had oil changes regularly .... not more than 7500 miles...
  12. 2012 Regal gs 6MT Cam sensor replacement

You bought the wrong car for video assistance, it is very difficult to find Buick Regal Turbo videos. Most of the time it has to be translated from Cruze Malibu or ATS to Regal. Took a long time to get a headlight one up that was any good.
  13. Intake Camshaft Position Actuator Solenoid

I did mine a few weeks ago ... the job of replacing the solenoids takes about 3 minutes .... getting the second connector disconnected takes about 1 minute or less. Getting the first connector disconnected ..... hmmmmm, 5 minutes, then search for another video, 5 more minutes, take a heat...
  14. Coolant.

    I guess I am 70K under and 3 years.
