Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "2008 LaCrosse" isn't going to indicate to anybody that you need help. However, "Need help with my 2008 LaCrosse" will. Be as descriptive as you can. Please use common sense... Thanks so much DB, ZBB, and KJ. I'm a computer smartphone guru but cars? Not so much.
And here I was thinking babying my baby would help her out.
I have a local mechanic I trust. Should I go to him every two years (say) and have him do a cleaning? Something like that?
So I dropped it off yesterday. Got a quick call within two hours.
The rep deployed MUMBLED GARBLED GARAGE SPEAK on me when I asked exactly what was wrong and what they fixed. He insisted on saying it fast and I insisted he slow the sh!t down so I had half a clue of what he was talking about...
Sorry guys. I changed my mind on posting the video but forgot to edit the initial post.
I lost my OBD scanner but just ordered another.
Also -- I have a feeling this could be covered in the powertrain warranty, no?
I've noticed that after longer drives (100s of miles) with my 2015 Encore (18,000 miles) something acts up a little.
On a San Diego back to LA drive, towards the end of the trip, the car 'stuttered' heading up a slow incline. At first I thought it was bumps in the pavement below...
I'm not technical that way but I did augment my system after purchase and learned two things --
1. Buick gets moody about supporting the car electronics if you 'mess' with them

What do you think?
As my hairs grey I wasn't sure I wanted to completely SLAM on the breaks again (because of my neck) but I did two hit the brakes hard a few times and ---
-- and nothing was amiss. Hmm. It probably was something on the road the one time.
I was in a situation where I had to suddenly SLAM the breaks on my 2015 Buick Encore. Knowing some sort of anti-lock break thing would happen. The resulting sensation wasn't... comforting. It was like the breaking mechanism half worked. I've had anti-lock in other cars firm...
I've only driven my Encore some 5000 miles in its first year. Very little highway. Until this last weekend where I did 560 miles all at once, entirely highway. Some uphill, some downhill. The average mileage was UNDERWHELMING.
Two questions --
1. The average mile display in car averages...
2015 Encore. Running good. Except for a sound it makes now and again.
I live in Los Angeles and so it's likely not weather related. I start the car and allow it to warm up (rev down). Once I shift it will sort of let out a deep GROAN. I back up out of my garage and drive slowly to...
