94 Buick Lesabre underhood relay ID

If you question whether a relay is working the quick and easy way would be to swap with another one. You may find that your relays are fine and the problem is a failed component and NOT the relay itself.

    Oil consumption

If it has variable valve timing I wouldn't advise going to a thicker oil.

    Dexron 11E equivalent ATF?

How many miles do these cars have? There are obviously different opinions as to using the Dex VI in an old transmission but I like to err on the side of caution. Do you know when or if the fluid had ever been changed?

    Blown head gasket

Judging from what the OP said in post #7 the mechanic is an honest man. He could probably do the job but he is looking out for his customer's best interests. At 300k miles the rest of the vehicle may be on it's last legs and not worth the time and expense of either a costly head job or even...

The above post is a lame attempt at humor which is at least better than his often condescending tone.

    Dexron 11E equivalent ATF?

STP's Dex/Merc fluid is Dexron III equivalent as well. Don't go to Dexron VI.

94 Lesabre stalls but starts right back up

The OP probably doesn't have the cover.

I don't know what my 2001 used. All I know is when it displayed the wrong direction a couple of circles reset it. ;)

94 Lesabre stalls but starts right back up

Original coil packs may be damaging the replacement ICM. What brand of ICM did you use?

94 Lesabre stalls but starts right back up

I've had sudden stalls while driving. Was a flaky ICM. What brand of ICM was used?

    Compass calibration

My car didn't require a menu selection to do it. The owner's manual said to "drive in circles". I know we're talking different models and years.

2004 Buick Park Avenue Interior Swap?

On the tranny just do a pan drop with filter. NO FLUSH. At 165k miles I would just clean it up and drive it. If you want a supercharger buy an Ultra. The tranny on your base model would need more mods than it's worth.

2006 3800 engine water in cylinders, back pressure in radiator, water in oil pan. UIM or head gasket?

Key word here is GUESS. We all know what can happen when one assumes something. ;)

    '99 Custom - Electrical Issues

As much as I like my 2002 Lesabre Limited I truly miss my 1997 Oldsmobile 88. The styling got better on the Buicks after 2000 but unfortunately the quality did NOT. The pre-2000 cars were built better IMHO.

Silly Question: Did you try driving in circles?

    1994 Ultra ABS parts.

With a car this old you are very limited with a part like that. I know you said you didn't want to go with a salvaged part but a web site like Car-part.com may be one of the few options that you have with a 27 year old car.

    Blown head gasket

That's the way I do it. Sometimes it's best to just cut your losses and move on. Are you going for another vehicle similar to the Rendezvous?
