'12 Regal 2.0 Turbo surging at mid - high RPM

So a bit of an update; I replaced the coils and plugs (all OEM) this weekend and although the car does run noticeably smoother it still surges. I haven't had the time or a cool vehicle to check the turbo blades for wear ect.

Low end RPM and this car still pulls very hard ... it doesnt seem to start surging till 3.5k+

Does anyone know if the high pressure fuel pumps in these things just 'go' or would it be possible they exhibit high/low pressure symptoms on their way out?

Is there any values that I could log to help diagnose this surging?
Does it do this all the time or does it stop once the engine is fully warm?
