Only issue has been the same nav/instrument panel lighting tweak (software) that TxTom speaks of.
We have had ours for only a month but we find it to be very quiet and very comfortable. So far we really love it!

    Re: Consumer Reports review?

I got a chuckle out of CR's comment about the dash vents hitting them in the elbows. At six feet my head is right at the top of the door jam with seat bottom just off the floor. This my eyes looking out of the windows right the top and perfect for visibilty. Guess when the vents hit me....right at face level. And this with my head at the top of the door/jam. Perfect alignment for outward visibilty. So I give CR a red dot in reporting.

Watching the YouTube review and reading the testing data had me thinking as they just gush over the Jaguar F-pace handling in the same video. So I reviewed the collision mph data and the Envsion had similar times but said the handling wasn't good....what gives? Another red dot for CR reporting.

    Re: Consumer Reports review?

I have lost a lot of respect for CR in the last few years. While they say they are impartial I see a lot of prejudice as with their Envision review. I have a Premium and one thing I have not seen mentioned here is the snappiness of the car. It is very peppy and quite a joy to drive. I have only had the issue with the info panels dimming but it was an easy fix. I have owned 14 Buicks over the years and have never had issues with any of them.

A guy at work went from an Impala V6 to the Envision Essence with 2.5l and feels it is quick enough. Once he gets a few thousand miles and outs in different driving conditions I'll get an update.

The turbo is plenty quick and the transmission always eager and awaiting the engine moves. I have yet to catch it off it's feet where power is lacking or the transmission hunting gears.

With the MSRP price and assembly origin it may get a bad rap before a test as even other reviews mention China made in the title of the review. Of course no pays MSRP/sticker price but should get close to $5,000-9,000 off. Which makes the Envision the best going in the luxury segment
