1990 Park Avenue AM/FM stereo cassette player

I have a problem with my cassette player that requires the head to be re-adjusted so it plays the tape on the right track and not muffled. I can put something in to slightly lift the tape and it clears up, but this isn't something I want to live with. I know these are very out-dated by CD's, but I still have a lot of my gospel music on cassette and I can't listen to it in my car with it sounding like this. I've searched online and can't seem to find anything that tells how to or even if this is still possible to adjust. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. "Harpo"

I replaced the radio in my 1990 PA with one with a usb port then ripped my cassette tapes to mp3 and put them on thumb drives. This arrangement works so much better.

I thought of that, but I'm on a fixed income and I can't afford to do that at this time. That's why I was asking about adjusting the head.

What are you using as a reference when you align the heads? When doing any tape path/head alignments on any legacy device, you need an alignment tape to do it. If you are using one of your Pink Floyd tapes, that might explain you difficulty.
