65 skylark
I have a huge question for someone. I'm working on my mother inlaws 65 skylark with the 300cid
On the driver's side theyre 2 wires coming from the fire wall over the inner fender by the windshield washer resivour. they look as thick as the battery cables with two connectors that look like paddles one has a yellow wire that attaches into a harness thats broke off. What do the paddles go to and could someone post a picture of the location of them and the resivour area. I can't find any pictures anywhere for this location the resivour is broke and I don't know what all is missing its sat for about 10 years in a barn

This is the wiring diagrams on 65 hardtop which may help. The heavy gauge wire may be something routed for the hydraulic pump for the top.

The top is manually raised and lowered. Their are no switches inside for the top so it should be good thank you

Well if it's not a roof option the diagrams will be correct so find the wire color and trace it to the sources. Not knowing anything about the vehicles history extra wires could be anything, something needing to be attached, old block heater or something done by a DIY.

1965 Buick Skylark Gran Sports
Hello,

I'm new here, but have been restoring 1965 Buick Skylarks and Gran Sports for over 30 years. I have the website 65GS.com. It is full of great information pertaining to '64-'66 Buick Special, Skylark and Gran Sport models.
The pieces in your first picture img 0328 are the windshield washer nozzles. They are attached to the hoses that go from the washer pump. There should be a single hose that goes from the washer solvent tank, across the top of the inner fender and up to the pump.
All 1965 Skylark convertibles had power tops. The Special models did not have power tops.
