Does anybody have any advice on a decent quality car cover for the TourX? I can't seem to come to any conclusion, some seem to be a somewhat generic "fits up to 200" kind of cover. Which I guess might work, but I was hoping for something specifically for our cars.

I am also in the pursuit of a (preferably) custom fit car cover for the Sportback. I'm mainly just looking for indoor protection from dust and other misc. projects happening in the garage over the winter. So far, I have come up with only a few companies that offer custom fit covers, none of them are particularly cheap. Being that they are custom fit, that's not all too surprising.

However, before making the investment, does anyone have experience/preferences/perceptions with these brands or models?

I run a covercraft dustop on my 68 Camaro, and a covercraft noah on my Monte Carlo when they are in storage over the winter. The Noah was because the Monte used to live outside during storage in the winter, so it was a higher quality cover that protected against the elements.

The Dustop is perfect for the 68 to just sit in a garage all winter and be ready to go next car show season.

I can highly recommend California Car Cover, I have used their covers for years. I have used the Duststop for the summer, then added a Car Jacket for winter (protect against mice). The cars came out the same as they went in 5 months earlier.

CCC has a myriad of available materials and the covers always fit exact, even on my Superbird.

I think much of this is dependent on your usage of the cover. Indoors, the "custom" fit isn't as important.

Outdoors? We get 60 mph gusts around here more regularly than I would like to admit so I never had any luck with a cover of any kind on something that was going to sit outside.

I finally pulled the trigger on a car cover with ding protection in mind. Here's the Covercraft Form-Fit cover on my GS (linked in post #2):

As one would expect from a form fit cover in this price range, the fit and finish is absolutely perfect. The material is very soft, stretchy, and quite hefty too. All of the seams are nice and putting it on was simple.

If there's anyone else on here that keeps their Regal off of the salty roads in the winter, I recommend looking into it. I plan on reporting back on how well the cover stops dust and if I notice any swirl marks come spring.
