Hello!

The chrome trimming around the radio and clime controls on my Encore has started flaking/cracking. I've been looking for a replacement bezel and I'm horrified by the fact the only way that trimming seems to be available is with an entire dashboard.

For reference:

I'm talking about the chrome you see here:

Surely this is a stand-alone part with a name (I tried bezel/moulding/trim/center console etc) that I can replace. If not, anyone have any ideas on how to fix it? $500 for a new dash + installation isn't happening.

Thank you in advance!

Just a suggestion - but 3m makes vinyl "wrap" that can be used to cover the bezel and make it less reflective. I did this in our chevy cruze to reduce glare from the blingy chrome bits in the interior.....

I bought these two colors - I forget which one I actually applied....

It is very easy to install - I like a flat metal grey vs chrome for a high end look without reflective chrome...

I would be inclined to sand off the plating and paint it. A replacement part is going to do the same thing at some point.
