The Enclave got a very high road score of 87, but CR lowered the overall score to 56 because they didn't like the non-electric sunshade for the sunroof, didn't like the gear selector, nor the two-way lumbar support. They wanted four-way lumbar support instead. I kid you not.

Truely a ludicrous review by Consumer Reports for the Enclave.

Are these your pet peeves about the SUV? And what about the manual sunshade, does that get your dander up?

I would not buy anything after reading a rating by CR. They have rated the same year car differently every year. Especially if it is an America car.

I don't mind the gear selector. I got used to that quickly. The lumbar support is fine. The manual sunshade is sub-par and doesn't belong on a $60k vehicle. There are a few other missing features on the 2018 Avenir that are also annoying, but overall, it is a nice vehicle, and the ride is the best. The 2019s and 2020s are very similar. You have to take all reviews with a grain of salt. Many are subjective rather than objective. For more accuracy, read reviews from various sources, and from consumers who are not receiving rewards for posting them.
