Engine removal / Riviera

Trying to pull the engine on my 63 Buick Riviera I can’t seem to get the engine to release from the transmission I have removed all six bolts I have it in neutral it won’t budge any ideas? Thanks TV 63

Unbolt the torque converter from the flex plate and then see if it is loose to separate.

Off topic, but IMHO the 1963 through 1965 Rivieras may be some of the best looking cars ever made. 63 has a Dynaflow, right?

Holy cats, if you pull the engine WITHOUT detaching the torque converter from the flex plate, you will tear up the front pump in the transmission.
