• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "2008 LaCrosse" isn't going to indicate to anybody that you need help. However, "Need help with my 2008 LaCrosse" will. Be as descriptive as you can. Please use common sense... When I put in 10 dollars of gas (tank gauge on reserve marking) the gauge will shoot up to 3/4 on the gauge - that is way off - then a while later it may come down to half - then probably the correct level in another 15 min. - is this a bad connection at dash at tank - short along the way - float problem - sending unit - etc Any way to narrow down the cause? Please advise.

Thanks,

Milty

I think this is normal operation for these trucks. My truck when full, will take 170 miles before the guage even moves, and then it moves fairly quickly over the next 100 miles to empty.
