Is there a way to tell if the Heated Side View Mirrors are working?
Some kind of Indicator on the Dash or Mirrors themselves?
I Don't really want to tear apart the Mirrors to see if they have the Wiring.
My Build Sheet shows I have Heated Mirrors: DWK - POWER DUAL OUTSIDE MIRRORS, HEATED, BODY COLOR

Cars I've had in the past had an Indicator right on the Mirror showing the Heated Mirror was On and Working.

We really haven't had much of a winter whereas I'd need them to work.
But winter isn't over and that could change.
We did have some Light Snow, Light Freezing Rain and Light Snow again last night.
I may just go out and see if there is anything to melt.

A infrared thermometer, caution when using on reflective surface. But if available snow placed on it, turn it on and watch may be easier.

Thanks for the reply 2007LucerneCXL .
I did look in the Car's Manual first and didn't see anything.
I've done Numerous Google searches and couldn't really find anything either.
Yes, I did find info telling me it worked with the Defrost or Rear Defrost, can't remember which?
I also did a search here at the forum and came up empty.

I normally don't think about checking or asking about this until the Ice/Snow is gone.

I did finally go out and sit in the car a few minutes.
The Mirrors did warm up a little, they were much warmer than the outside air.
As I figured, there wasn't any Ice or Snow on them when I got out there.
There is Ice and Snow on the Car's Top, Hood, Trunk, Windshield and Back Window.

Unfortunately it's only the rear defrost button that tells anything is turned on, but it doesn't confirm its working and the only easy method without a scanner is look if water, ice or snow disappears. Of course like all seasonal items the only time you would know the AC isn't operating properly is the first hottest day of the year lol.

I'm now pretty sure the Heated Mirrors are working.
I was just assuming there would be some kind of Indicator to show they were heated mirrors.
I've had quite a few cars with Heated Mirrors and they all had an Indicator!
I was surprised I couldn't find much information about the heated mirrors.

Since both Windows had Ice and Snow sitting on them, and my car is set to Auto, both the Front
and Rear Defrosts came on.
After sitting there about 4-5 minutes the mirrors started to warm up, I could feel it!

Now, one of these days I'll Remote Start my car and see if the Heated Seats come on!
While I was sitting there in the car today I found the Settings and made sure they were set to come
on, they were.
I do like the Heated Seats and would like to come out to warm seats, not cold leather!
Although we've only had a hand full of days this winter (so far) that I would consider really cold!

I think it's funny that GM doesn't use the same Indicators all the way thru their
families (Chevy, Buick, Cadillac and GMC) .
Today while shopping with my wife I noticed her 2013 GMC Terrain SLE has the
Defrost Mirror Indicators.
Anyway, thanks for all the help and suggestions!

If the mirrors are fogging and they fog disappears they are working. If they are icy and the ice melts they are working.

We really haven't had the weather that I'd have Ice or fog on my mirrors.
We've had some Wet snow that usually melts as quick as it comes down.

Really just wanted to know if there was an indicator, obviously not!
One of these days things may change I we may get some ice, it use to
happen all the time, D*mn Global Warming!
