My 2014 Verano uses at least a qt of oil every 1000 miles. It has the 2.4 ecotec engine, is there ANYTHING I can do to fix it?

It's a known issue on that engine. Short of major repairs try a higher viscosity oil.

A proper diagnosis then proceed from there. The TSB on the Verona oil consumption covered previous years and not sure if it was updated to the 2014 but that may be something to review on what was done.

The service bulletin has a lot more parts than that, pistons, pump, chain, etc.
Thus go one number higher on the top viscosity number and see what happens. The VVT probably will tolerate that.

I just had an oil consumption issue. Turned out the PCV valve was dead and there was oil leaking out of the Valve cover. Hard to see though. Replaced the Valve cover, PCV works with no leaks. Also, I would stick with the recommended oil, synthetic blend.

Lucas engine oil additive. It's thicker and designed to slow down the burning of oil which is most likely coming from the ring, according to Buicks recalls. I know. I have a 2012 verano. Dam GM....
