Problem with heater on rende

I have a 2006 Rende 3.5L, and ever since i bought it (2 years ago) ive noticed the heat doesnt click on sometimes.
Example:
I can show a warm temp on the engine temp gauge, but no hot air will be coming out of the vents. I have to turn the Temp control dial all the way to cold and back to hot, usually a i have to do this a couple times til i hear a "Clunk" noise come from below the front dash. Then hot air starts coming from the vents.
Anyone know what this issue could be? Its been driving me nuts, as i feel like a lever or damper is getting stunk, then forced open to make the Clunk noise.

Thats one of the blend doors sticking. Its very common on all GM's post 2000.

Can you help me figure out which actuator it is? i found a system diagram for my Rende, and it lists 3 different actuators.

#10- Air INL Valve Actuator
#37- Mode Valve Actuator
#44- Temp Valve Actuator

I believe you are looking for #44, which is the one for temperature control.

Mind you, depending on your HVAC, you could have 2 of them. If you have dual climate zones, than you would have 2 of them.

With single zone climate, you will have just one.
