I just picked up a 95 roadmaster to replace my 93 caprice 9c1 and one of the first things I'm looking at doing to it is replacing the factory radio. It looks to be double din and if so I'd like to replace it with a double din unit, but some of the on line tools for selecting the proper radio for your vehicle like the one used on ebay tell me double din will not fit this car. Does anybody know if it's a true double din? or is it one of those GM off sizes?

I do recall a double din works just fine, but so does an adapter plate to run the regular aftermarket CD players. Aren't those 1.5 DIN?

Can someone post a photo of the RM 1.5 DIN and 2 DIN models?

Based on what I've been reading, it sounds like they changed in 95 from 1.5 to 2 DIN, and it would help folks a lot that are shopping for a replacement to know what size their RM has.

I picked the following up from an eBay ad, so take with appropriate disclaimer. But this may help those cross reference radios that will fit 2(double) DIN models.

* Buick Park Avenue - 1994** 1995 1996 1997 1998 1999 2000 2001 2002 2003 2004 2005
* Buick Lesabre - 1994** 1995-1999
* Buick Riviera - 1995** 1996-1999
* Buick Century - 1997-2003
* Buick Regal - 1994** 1995-2002
* Buick Roadmaster - 1995** and 1996
* Buick Skylark - 1995** 1996-1998
* Oldsmobile Cutlass 1996-1999 & some 1995**
* Oldsmobile Alero 1999-2000
* Oldsmobile 98 1996-1998 & some 1995**
* Oldsmobile Bravada 1998-1999
* Oldsmobile Intrigue 1998-2000
* Oldsmobile LSS 1996-1998 & some 1995**
* Oldsmobile Aurora 1996-1999 & some 1995**
* Oldsmobile 88 1995-1999 & some 1994**
* Oldsmobile Achieva 1996-1998 & some 1995**

**GM switched radio styles mid-year in 1994 in some models and 1995 in others. Consequently this will also work in some 1994 and 1995 Buick and Oldsmobile models. If your current radio is approximately 4 3/8 inches tall and looks very similar to this one, this should work for you. If yours is more like 3 1/2 inches tall, this WON'T work for you. These are measurements for the entire face of the radio. Not just the part you see with the trim on. Please email with your Olds or Buick application before you bid if you have questions or concerns.
