I have a 2019 Encore Essence AWD with all the options, including the no longer available direct injection engine. I really like it. It is not silent, but it is quiet, and it rides well. I get 26 mpg on 93 octane fuel.

I own a 2019 Sport Touring. Never used high test, never saw a need. (whole different debate on octane)I love this little buggy, pulls the hills from Southern Indiana through Georgia just fine. Had a couple odd things when new but a new battery fixed them. I traded an Aurora and a Monte Carlo and I can drive this hours longer without fatigue. I'm a retired service manager/gear head/boy racer.
Easy to drive, easy to park, active noise cancellation inside is cool, fits in my one car garage with room to spare, decent milage. I'm happy.

Loving my base preferred so far... takes about 5,000 miles to really break in a new car ... If you're leasing why worry about a lemon? The base car 1.4 liter has been in production for 8 years...most kinks are worked out... I am partial to GM.. Just think they make nice looking and good performance high tech cars.... The apple play is really cool..
