So the Arteon is a potential option for Regal cross-shoppers and we'll get our first in-person look in Chicago (and I'll be there!).

Based on the reviews thus far of the Euro models, what are your thoughts on the Arteon, particularly relative to the Regal? I know we've already had some comparisons to the Stinger.

I'm eager to see performance numbers (might be a touch under powered with only the 2.0T at 268hp/258tq), otherwise looks like a decent ride.

Based on European reviews I've seen so far, the Arteon is pretty well equipped technology wise. Almost Audi level.

The Arteon still gets to 60 in about 5.5 seconds. The GS will be lucky to break 6 sec. If rumors about the VR6 Arteon are true, that will be pretty quick.

I agree if the GS can't at least get low 5s I will look forward to stinger GT2 or Arteon R with VR6 or I read Alfa Gulia will bump up HP to near 400 in the TI.

Agree on the GS. The other comparably equipped GM vehicle (the LaCrosse with awd, V6, similar weight) comes it at 5.8+ sec 0-60.

Where do you get the Arteon 2.0T 0-60 numbers? Car and Driver only have an estimate, and nothing official out? Car and Driver estimate 5.8-5.9 seconds, exactly where the GS will probably land.

A V6 will certainly help the Arteon.

The Arteon is already on sale in Europe so there are several reviews out there. I forgot though that Europe gets a 7 speed DSG, while the US gets an 8 speed conventional auto. More gears but slower shifting. Will be interesting to see how that affects performance.
