I changed the mounting point of the stock shifter to the linkage on the transmission with my '13 Turbo 6-speed. It is now shorter, direct, and more firm. The change was decreasing the distance to the fulcrum by a little over 1/2". I punch out the old ball mount and used a threaded one from a hood shock rod. The ball socket was a little shorter in height but it still snaps in tight. Besides the holding nut for the linkage the computer needs to be removed. It just snaps off by lifting up.

It's same shifter as my Astra OPC, same engine and same gearbox.
I did the upgrade buying the aftermarket shortshifter from M-Tech.
Now I see it's same as yours.

Yes, the same but I thing yours maybe result in a little shorter throw based on your picture. Mine is great with just a hint of stiffness going back into first gear rolling to a stop.

Now we have to work on the slack in the lateral movement. 🙂
