My wife's gas gauge is going crazy. This happened out of the blue one day. I did some reading and found others with the same problem, but no real fix. I pulled the plugs from under the drivers side seat and checked them out, put some dielectric grease on the connections and still the gauge is erratic. I think it's called the C-305 connector...

Anyone have the same problems as me? Care to share the fix?

Thanks!

Gerald.

Anyways, I think I'm on to a fix. Maybe, I hope.

I have a 2004 AWD Rendevous with the 3.4L and our gas gage has stopped reading accurately. It tends to read a lot higher than what is actually left in the tank. My wife is now using the trip odometer and the fuel used readout to decide when to fill the tank. In reading your post dieseldad97 you mentioned you just cleaned a connector under the driver seat? Is that all it took to fix it? Maybe it will work for me as well. What does the connector look like?

Can you please tell me what you did to fix the problem?
Mines been acting that way since about 3 weeks after I got it.
I am not impressed with my RENDEZVOUS at all, other then it looks pretty.
Thanks Rozi 😉

Thanks for the link dieseldad97. Looks kinda ugly, but at the same time very believable in terms of the potential problem area.

My girlfriend's is having the same problem.....where do i look under the driver's seat? Any help would be great!

I have the same problem with my 02 Rendezvous!!! Can't seem to get it fixed. Did some research and it told me to bypass the connectors. Which I did but then the engine light came on and now a code for C305.

Have any suggestions?

Well that didn't do my fix. My plug was nice and clean but, Notice it felt loose so I have ended up soldering the wires together anywayz for further reason. I now think I have a BAD SENDING UNIT. Unforturenately my 02 rendezvous it comes in one peice cost 269.00.

Has any one found a way of just changing the level sensor???

We have an '03 Rendezvous with this issue and the fuel pump cutting out. The connector got wet from the inside because the A/C condensor now drains into the car on to the floor. The connector was corroded but also the wires below the connector were corroded. Only option was to replace the connector and wires. I got a new connector/wire set from Buick ($73). You plug the new plug in and them connect the new wires to the old wires that you have cut and stripped.
