So after searching here and another Regal site, I was unable to find any answers. I am looking to add an Infinity Basslink to my '13 Regal P1. I obviously have the stock system with Intellilink. I found something about the '11's but the wire colors didn't match. Also, when unplugging the harness from what I thought was the amp, my car wouldn't stay on and music still poured out through the speakers.

I am simply looking for the wires I need to attach the line input wires to. Any help would be appreciated.

rodd62,

Are you looking for high level signal wires or low level wires?.... If you have 6"x9" speakers in the rear "parcel shelf" deck, you could always tap into the wires that plug into those speakers.

I don't know how much the stock system-vs- H/K or the 2011/12/13 wiring changed. http://buickforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=33064 <--- that has alot of info about 2012 H/K system.

Thank you for your help! I am not sure how that thread didn't come during my searches.

I do not have the 6x9's and if I did, I would be much better off. I cannot locate any wires to grab a signal from. Its a lease so I don't want to go tear through the car too much (and its getting cold in Michigan).

I will continue my search and thanks again on the thread.

Also, those wiring diagrams you posted, any chance at a larger version? I think they might be helpful but I can't make out any of the writing.
Thanks again!

Because forum searches don't work very well, unfortunately.

I'll see if I can get them larger in the morning.

The best I can get up for now. I'll cut the pages out of the 2012 service manual and scan them when I get some time.

I can attest that all of these wire colors/colors are correct for the 2012 Regal Harman/Kardon system. The amp in a 2012 Regal is behind the carpet in the trunk on the right side, near the taillight.

If you have a "base" system,, you might not have an external amp. Your speakers might be powered by the Head Unit. (just a guess, I don't know for sure)

Hope that helps.

Thank you again for the images. They should be large enough at this point. As to the location of the signal, it hadn't occurred to me that there isn't an amp. There is something there, but upon unplugging it, I was only successful in preventing my engine from starting. ECM or the like I would think. Also the harness had four 14 awg wires at the four corners and the wires in the middle were all 16 awg. Also, when unplugged my audio still played.

I wondering how hard it would be to run the signal from the front or if I should attempt the rear doors...

Thanks again!
