Is there any thread on forum where veterans can put down some tips and tricks they have learnt with their TourX ownership ?
Anything that you would advise new owners to do differently (apart from don't be leadfoot) ?
Or anything that you've done with your TourX that has added to overall experience of ownership ?
Considering TourX being one of rare wagons out on road, we are the one who will need to be resource pool for each other. If there is already a thread similar please delete this.

From this thread following are aggreagated Tips for TourX, we can keep adding at it as we get new ideas.

1) Window Tint can help with climate control.
2) Snow tires or full set with Rims can be helpful in winter driving and dont have to keep changing tires if you get one with rims.
3) With automatic climate control the passenger knob controls the temp of the air to the rear seat vents.
4) Collection of accessories thread - 2018+ Regal: All Things Accessories
5) Keyless entry at driver's door is once for driver's door, twice for all doors. But keyless entry at any passenger door unlocks them all.
6) ASS-related...
Look at a traffic light and traffic as far ahead as you can when approaching to help you decide if you should just let the ASS do its thing, or if you should shift to manual mode before the car stops to keep it running. I dislike coming to a stop, having the engine stop, only to have it start again in very short order because it's time to go again.

@mjoshi One of the first things I did when I bought the car in the Spring of 2018 was to get the windows tinted. I find that even in Michigan Summer (relatively mild, as I'm sure Upstate NY is), The AC has a hard time cooling down with a larger cabin than the sedan.

Obviously while it's still winter, it's no big deal, but if you aren't too concerned with following the letter of the law, I would get the windows tinted. I know it's anecdotal, but I've never had a problem with an officer harassing me about window tints. I find that being ready for the officer is the best way to mitigate this. This means having the interior lights on, and window open when the officer gets to your door and having your hands completely visible.

I have also found tint will often get me out of a speeding ticket...just a fine with no points. So tint is on my list for this spring/summer.

do you know about the shark in the cup holder?

+1 on the window tint, esp if you have the sunroof. That's a lot of glass!

If you are in the snow belt, a set of dedicated snow tires/rims are awesome. I waited thru the first winter and it did admirably (bought in December 18) Snow shoes this winter and the damn thing is a beast.

You can set the car to automatically lock itself.

When refuelling, should it lock itself before you have walked around the car to open fuel filler door, you can press the button on the rear door to unlock the filler door.

What is shark in the cup holder ? I'm going for a tint this spring.
I've never had AWD vehicle and this is first one, and I've never had snow tires in 20 years of my northeastern life. So I'm not 100% sure if I will need on my Buick.

Really depends on how and where you drive. But with that said, most other cars are very repairable...it seems parts are in short supply for this vehicle, so spending a few hundred on a winter set may provide a lot more than just better confidence in the snow.

+1 for me on your tires and AWD experience. To me this thing is great in the snow as is - although new tires would be great, it doesn't get anywhere near top of our expenditure list right now

This was my first set of snow tires too & at 45 years old I've lived in Minnesota, Buffalo, NY & Chicago. I spent the first winter on the stock wheels/tires but like I said, with a winter set mounted the cold weather grip & handling is on a whole other level.

I noticed the shark too. It seems from what I've read that an Opel designer who was responsible for designing the plastic mold of the side of the glovebox on an early 2000's Opel asked his son what he should put there. His son responded that he should design a shark into it. So he did. And ever since then all Opel models have had a shark hidden in the their design somewhere.

That's a Kool story, now I need to find shark

Point #5.
You can actually change that setting regarding the driver's door to work like the rest of the doors.
Passive Door Unlock on page 156 of your owner's manual has that information.

Would it have killed them to have an ASS with a 3-4 sec delay?

Is there a way to reset sit memory to factory default ?

What do you mean by reset it?
Are you trying to set the memory seat based on which key?
Yes, I want to assign memory seat bas d upon key, so when key#1 opens it, it is set to memory settings automatically, compared to key#2 opening it.
