Ghost radio and horn?

I have a question that hopefully my fellow owners can help me with. I've had my 2018 TourX now for 2 months and love it. But two things have happened that make me wonder WTF? One is, sometimes when I get into the car with my keys in pocket just as after I close the door the horn sounds twice, any clue why this is? My second question, I was freaked out today. I got into the car in my garage, the keys were in the house. And the radio starts playing and the light in the info screen on the lights up. I don't know if this is Bluetooth related because I had my phone with me or what. Just seems really ghost like as I said my keys weren't even on me. Has anyone had an experience like this or an answer as to why this would happen. Thank you

Your first condition is an alert. Vehicle senses "keys have been left in the car". Happens to me. No biggie. Think you can change the "vehicle settings" on the screen...not sure.

Second condition...Yes, I think your car is "haunted".

The horn sounding upon entry to the vehicle has happened to me a few times as well. I believe it happens under these conditions:

Entry into the vehicle on the passenger side and enabling Accessory Mode, say to listen to the radio. Manually disabling accessory mode or allowing it to automatically time-out, then exiting the vehicle from the passenger side again. Later on, after entry to the vehicle on the driver's side and upon closing the door, the horn will sound. It will happen this way every time in my case.

Now, if I just open and close the drivers door AFTER exiting from the passenger side, the horn will not sound when entering the vehicle later on.

I believe the car thinks you left the keys inside because it did not detect the driver's door open and close after the car's accessory mode was turned off.

Have you tried posting in the Facebook group?

BTW - you may want to keep an eye on your battery charge level since you seem to getting some unintended power draw.

Have only seen weird stuff like that when my battery was dead before it got jumped. I don't think in a low voltage state all sensors are working so some funky things happen. But again this only happens once or twice when the battery needed a jump.

Thanks for your thoughts....I have not posted to FB yet.
Where do I find the battery charge level?

Battery charge level is typically in the Driver Instrument(ation?) Cluster (DIC), one of the displays you can scroll thru, depending on your settings.

Yep, lots of settings, electrical weirdness, etc. One thought, where is the second key fob, and what are its associated settings?

Thanks... I will look at the level tomorrow when I get a chance, also bringing it into the service department to see what they have to say. hopefully something jumps out at them, because I'm afraid it's going to be one of those things that we can't duplicate it, we can't fix it.
Second key fob was in the house nowhere near the car.

I don't think I've ever had two honks when entering the vehicle; however the piss poor design of the fob causes things in my pocket to set off the "car finder's" 3 honks or (less often) the "panic button" when I move around or bump into something. The 3 honks happen from time to time as I enter or exit the car.

Maybe grab the Owners Manual...with a cup of coffee ...and casually go through what it says on the subject(s).

I've read through it...there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason as to why the horn sounds when it does, unless I'm completely missing something in the process.
As far as the ghost radio issue, I'm sitting in the service department waiting room right now 🥺

...well there goes your chance at "good" cup of coffee. 😉
Hope all goes well.

I haven't been able to find battery charge level on a red needle... so if OP's 2018 is a red needle, this may not be true.

no red needles here (does this mean it is the newer 2018.5?) did find the battery meter...thanks

The battery charge shall also be on the red needle Essence DIC.
