My 2014 with HID lamps had the driver side bulb fail, so I replaced both sides. Had to take off the bumper to replace these babies......fun, fun fun! But I digress.

When I installed them, I noticed that the mechanism that the bulb goes into (the ballast, I believe) moves back and forth.

Do I need to manually adjust the lamps, or are these self-adjusting? I certainly don't want to drive with the headlights out of alignment.

Thanks!

Is this the articulating headlights feature possibly?

I believe so.

After replacing the bulbs last night, I drove today with no problems until a block away from my house tonight - I get a "Service Advanced Lighting" message on the dash. I pull into my driveway and inspect the lights - both are working fine. I don't know what that message means.

I hope didn't open Pandora's Box or something...
