hey guys,

i've been browsing forums here and there and it appears like some grand am guys have been hinting towards running 5 x 114.3 wheels on their grand ams (after 99) which have a bolt pattern of 5 x 115...

since i'm not a member i can't ask questions there or get an email address...

does anyone know if 114.3 wheels will fit our pattern? if so that would make my job of finding rims much easier

I saw these rims today. They look pretty nice, especially on a different color. I saw them on white and tan Le Sabre's today. I bet they'd look best on white or silver.

To awnser your question directly, yes you can. I am running 06 Mustang GT wheels on my PA. They are 17x8s 5x4.5. 115mm = 4.527". They are direct bolt ons.

Here's mine:

Absolutely they fit. 115mm=4.527" They will interchange without any problems. I have 06 Mustang Wheels on my PA and they fit great, the offset is correct, they are 17x8s with 235/55s. Ford lists them at 5x4.5.

Ok so i c the bullitts will fit a 96 Park Ave
Fine but will they fit my 97 Park Ave
fine 2?
I would be getting 225/55/17 tires for them

5x114.3 rims on our 115 bolt pattern ?This is to top off an old post but any help from people who have actually done what i want to do is greatly appreciated
I’m not looking for people’s opinions of what they wouldn’t do
Only chime in please if you have attempted this yourself
I’ve heard you can use a 5x114.3 rim on a 5x115 bolt hub
What if anything special do i need to do to be free of issues
I’ve heard here and there that the bolt holes will be off centered and from other people that they fit fine
If some one who has run or is running this set up on there car can give a shout I’d appreciate it. You don’t know what to believe from all you read on the web lol
Btw my car is a 04 lesabre thanks in advance

Its impossible. two different sizes.
In my PA prew owner was installed 5*114.3 and running in 90mph during 350 miles.
as a result - lug stud was curved, and holes in wheels was extended like oval.20161013_092058.webp

in pic U can see what I mean.
it is that wheel disc!
Do not risk!

Does it cause alignment issues on your hub at all? That shrink is small, yes, but i imagine it makes some of the lugs put pressure on the not-center of the bore hole. I could be wrong.

It's a .7mm difference in bolt pattern, or .027" inch difference. It comes down to several factors.

First is the hub sizing. If the new rim's hub center is smaller than the car it is going on it will not fit correctly. everything from you can't even get it on the lugs, to you never can get it torqued down correctly where it won't fully seat on the new hub. See Islam's post above for what happens if you don't get it completely seated and torque down the lugs. They will bend and the rim will be out of center and balance, causing that wear in under 300 miles. If it is larger you will NEED hub centric spacer rings as the PAU's hubs are not designed for lug centering, but hub centering. That means if it's too big of a hub and you try to lug center it, you can end up .7mm or more(5 lug tolerance total) off center.

Second is the tolerances. The hub on your car may be drilled a little wide, and the rim you get be drilled a little narrow, making the offset too much and cause issues with them not aligning, or even going through without rubbing on the lug holes too much. You never want to clearance the lug holes with a grinder, if it's too tight you want a machinist to do it so he can keep the lugs centered to the rims bore.

Tolerances can come into play with lug nut hole size as well, some high end forged rims, like Ray's, have the lug hole exactly placed, with the lug exactly the correct size, with no way of opening the hole up without causing damage. Other manufactures can have oversized lug holes so it can fit.

Basically test fit the rims before having any tires mounted up if new, or if used, test fit them before buying them. Make sure you have an airgap around the lug holes. Make sure the hub center fits and it seats fully against the hub. If it's loose, get hub centering rings. If it's tight, don't run them.

Will a set of oem 5x114.3 fot on a 1995 buick lesabre park avenue?
Both the LeSabre and the Park Avenue have 5x115.
