HUD Question: What is purpose of plastic cover/tab on top of HUD area on dashboard?

Just bought a 2025 Envision and there is a covering on the HUD placement on the dash with a plastic tab on the corner that sticks up and interferes with the visual on the screen. Is that something that should have been removed before selling? Can it be removed? It seems to be firmly attached.

Ask your dealer since we can't see what you are referring to. New car prep departments are notorious for not reading the check list that comes with the car.

Just peel off. Held on by static electricity. It's a protective film that should have been removed by the dealer. Grab the tab and pull it off. No need to go to dealer.

I have a new 2025 Envision with this same plastic covering.
I tried removing it but I can't seem to get it off.
Has anyone had success with removing this covering ?

Try using a toothpick to gently raise up on the edge, and once it comes up a bit, merely grab and peel.
