You are incorrect. I just tried it with password nclive001and was able to login.

Edit - nevermind, current password worked. I must have had the old one still saved for my browsers autcomplete.

Yup, looks like its dead.
After searching online, it seems many local libraries offer online access to it as long as you have a library card.
