I am going to change the coils for my 2004 Century. When looking at RockAuto, some coil descriptions state that they do not include a seal, while others indicate that a seal is included, and some mention nothing about a seal. And there is no separate posting for a coil seal. What's going on with the seals? I have never heard of coil seals.

And I was looking at the NGK 7164 Iridium plugs, Suggestions?

Why do you want to replace all the coils? Do you have a misfire code on all 6-cyl? How old are the plugs/wires & how many miles on them? If the coils are original, yes you need new seals for the mount.

The plugs are about 15 years old, same with coil wires. Coils are original Car has 86K on it. No misfire codes, seems to run fine. Thought I would renew coils when changing the plugs. Probably last tuneup ever. I'm getting old. Local mechanics here are charging $195 to do most anything, so I thought I might as well ensure a great-running car.

So where are the seals installed? Do I need new seals, or are my old ones likely OK? I don't see the seals on GM websites, so I guess that means that I need to buy coils with the seals included??

Wells 5C1058 comes with seals. Look at RockAuto.com.
I used Blue Streak coils on my LeSabre. They cost a little more than some but I felt my car was worth it.
They're made by Standard Motor Products and are listed in the premium category on RockAuto.

As long as you're doing plugs you should replace the plug wires as well. NGK 51021 comes with a lifetime warranty.

You are right, buy the coils with the seals. The seals are below the coils to help keep moisture from entering the contacts from coils to the ICM. As previously mentioned, some come with the seals, others may not have them!
