clunking sounds

I am hoping someone can help me here; I have a 2012 LaCrosse with 60k; never had an issue; however, lately when i accelerate or decelerate (put my foot on the gas or take it off) there is a clunk sound coming from the front of the car. If it were a rear wheel drive I would say it is 100% a worn...
