oil

I have had this oil leaked and today I think I narrowed it down to this T bolt above the oil cooler. Does anyone know what the oil cooler is connected to and what the T bolt is?

I took it to a mechanic, and they said to fix the oil pan leak they had to remove the engine, is that true? Or is there an aftermarket oil pan that is better at not leaking? Or a kit with new gaskets I can buy to install myself to fix? It's the V8 NorthStar engine.
