I have a 2003 Buick Rendezvous (178K miles) with rear auto ride height. (Original owner. Replaced rear air shocks a few years ago.)
The air pump runs non-stop and never lifts the rear. I manually added air to the system, near the rear shocks at a schrader valve, and the rear shocks raised but the air slowly escaped from the air feed tube filter that is attached to the air pump motor. The integrity of the shocks and all air lines are good.
Is there a check valve in-line, besides the exhaust solenoid, that could be bad? I removed the solenoid and heard / felt it click when energized.... but the part that cycles is internal to the valve. Short of purchasing a new air pump motor with air-dryer, any ideas to further troubleshoot why the air is escaping.
Its a real shame that the solenoid is not replaceable. Somewhere on this earth they are made for new air-pumps....
What to do... what to do...?
