i would like to disable drl.
i read that if the the car thinks the park brake is enabled (in reality it is not) due to grounding the blue wire the computer will sense you driving over 3mph and give a contant warning chime.
1) is this true?
2) if so can i disable the speaker in the computer?
3) cant i just disable the drl
by removing the sensor and connecting the the two wires together?
making the car the circut is complete and it has constant daylight??
thank you

YA, just ground that blue wire to a ground point. My car didnt chime away at all but the parking brake light will be on all the time on the instrument panel, to remedy that i DE-soldered the leds from the back of the clusters board.
2. I hated that stupid chime, to remedy that i removed the body module and opened it up, the chime is a round black thingamajig with a hole in the top of it, i stuck a pick in hole hole and broke it apart and gutted it. No more annoying chime for headlights on or door open or keys in ignition or anything else ! 🙂 The bad, since no chime for key in ignition, for the first time in my life i locked keys in car, in the ignition, LoL !
#3. For me it was a PIA to try and get that sensor out. Step 1 above worked best.
