As the title suggests, I notice paint peeling off of the fender of my '18 Regal Tour-X w/ dark moon blue metallic paint.
I will post better pictures tomorrow, but right now the location is limited to the portion of both front fenders that's mostly hidden by the front pillar. The body panel gap is such that it's readily noticeable when looking at it from above. More concerning is that it is only a millimeter or two from peeling up over the edge of the fender, where it will be visible with the naked eye from the side of the car. It covers a fairly large area, at least 3-4" in length. See photo with yellow circle showing the area.
This has me pretty concerned, as I've had one other vehicle (a Honda) that had paint adhering issues-- and once it started, it didn't stop; spreads like a cancer.
Is there any way at all to keep this from spreading, anything a body shop can do, or is the paint doomed? Anyone have a similar issue on these vehicles?
Also curious if anyone has a good place to buy this color touch up paint, as I have a couple rock chips and other imperfections I'd like to cover.
