1985 Electronic climate control flashing

Hi, the ecc is working, all buttons and fan speeds, but regardless of what it's on, defrost, bilevel, etc, that button is flashing..is this normal or anyone know what the issue could be? Ac could use recharge but was blowing cold before this flashing started. Battery is good.
