I have a 1989 Buick Skylark in really good shape but here's the problem. When the car is cold I can go right out and start it up no problem. Runs great down the road, but when I shut it off after it warms up it wont start until it completely cold again. It will turn over strong but wont start. I took it to a mechanic and he tried everything he stated. He said it wasn't getting an ignition pulse?? He gave me the car back after trying and changing the Temp sensor and coil pack he stated. I need this car and it only has 79000 miles and a v6. No rust and like I say drives and runs great until I shut it off. It seem to start after I put gas in. I've only been able to drive it 200 miles. Any help would be greatfull.

Is the mechanic ASE certified? I suggest finding a repair shop with a very competent mechanic. Mechanics come with
various degrees of skill and talent. I was faced with a serious problem and went to two repair shops who could not
solve the issue and one of them would use the "parts replacement" approach in attempt to solve the issue without
in-depth diagnosis. I finally found a repair shop that solved the problem. You could Google a repair shop in your
area and attempt to find customer reviews that could lead you to a competent repair shop.
