1990 Buick LeSabre
Hello, I'm new here but am active on other forums. I have a 1990 LeSabre that I drive the my grandma left to me in her will. It has 135k miles now and has had some things replaced lately (brake lines, radiator, plugs and wires). I'm happy to report that I'm getting 27 mpg on the highway driving at 70 mph, just like it said on the original sticker. I enjoy driving this car, and would like to keep it up and running as long as possible. It's starting to rust though. I do have a few questions:

1. One of the speakers crackles very badly. I think the wiring has gone bad, but I'm thinking about replacing the head unit and the 2 front speakers in the driver and passenger door. Does anybody have a recommendation on what to go with or have links to other people installing stereo stuff into this era model?

2. On the driver door, the window motor is on its last leg. Can i replace it with a window motor from another door on my car, or should i go to the junkyard for one? How difficult is it to get the door panel off?

3. On the driver door, the door sensor has stopped working. This is the push switch that should have the inside light come on when i open the door. Can I replace that with another sensor from another door?

4. What are problems that I should be looking out for on my LeSabre? I know about the head gasket issue, but that's more on the gen 2 3800 from what I've read.

Thanks for any help
