I have replaced the wiper motor and relay but now the wipers only move when in high setting and then they only raise up from park position then return to park. Before we changed the motor and relay they were working but very slowly
The car had been sitting for about 10 years before I got it so just trying to get the bug’s worked out. Any help or advice would be appreciated
Thanks

Did you do it yourself? Where did you buy the wiper motor? Is it OEM or a better than OEM part? Electrical stuff personally is a pain in the arse to diagnose...im lazy, I just get my mechanic to look at it... Replacing/diagnosing a wiper motor isn't that epensive.

They list a few different motors for your car. Did you get the correct one?

We got the new wiper motor from O’Rielly’s also replaced the relay. Checked and cleaned the screws that hold the circuit board to the motor. I used contact spray on the connectors but still have No wipers just return to park in high setting and the washers also work just no wiper action

We researched the different motors and I’m sure we got the right one. My son is the one that has been helping me with this project and he used to work at O’Reilly’s so he knows how to order from there. He is also a mechanic and he has some knowledge of how the wipers work. A local scrap yard has another Buick sitting so I may go get the circuit board off it and try that.
Thanks for the reply
