Howdy,
My '96 Riviera's cruise control hasn't worked since I bought it a year ago. The light would turn on sometimes at random, but it hasn't in a while. I'm unsure whether the column module is working fully, but the blinkers, windshield wipers, and sprayer switches all work fine. The fuse in the fuse box is fine as well. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Hello Red, my 1997 GMC had the same cruise system, with the same module, which was mounted to the fire wall and would sometimes have water drip on it. I opened it, dried it, and sealed it with RTV , and the symptoms of intermittent function went away, Your module may be toast.

When I bought my '02 LeSabre the cruise didn't seem to work. The cruise light would come on the dash but immediately go off. My cable from the cruise control module had popped out of the throttle body. Easy fix for me. I hope you can be just as lucky!

I appreciate all the responses! I had a hunch it was the module as well, and I'm afraid it probably is the case. Does anyone know where to get a replacement module for it? I've been having a pain of a time trying to find replacement parts for anything other than engine components on this thing, and unless I'm mistaken, they only used the electronic cruise control on a couple years.

Module PN# 25344189 is discontinued from GM and AC Delco. Best bet is Ebay or a junkyard
