hello, New guy here

I've got a '97' LeSabre with 135k Mi. and the lock-out converter in the tranny is pulseing causing the car to buck. There are no defect code readings. Has anyone ever had this problem before? or does anyone have any suggestions?

THANKS, Jim😉

Welcome to the forums! You need to hook it up with a live date scanner that can detect misfire counts & trans codes while driving. Is the pulsing you described, more prevalent under load, such as going up a hill in OD? Many people misdiagnose a misfire problem, as a trans (TC) problem. One bad wire, or plug can cause the same shudder/pulsing sensation.

Yes it is more prevalent going up hill under load.

In that case, I would suspect ignition misfire rather than a trans problem.
