Hi Everyone,
I'm sure this has been covered before, but I am having trouble finding a thread that has a same problem as I am experiencing.
I've had my LeSabre for about a year now. Last year, there were no problems with water intrusion at all; everything stayed nice and dry. Unfortunately, with the return of the rainy season, I noticed a fair amount of water one the driver-side rear floor boards. At first, I thought that someone has spilled something back there, but there was way too much water for that.
I did a quick search through the interior to see if I could find any trails that the water was leaving, and no luck. The door seals all seem to be intact, and they are all dry towards the interior of the vehicle. A coworker suggested clearing out the weep holes on the frame rails, but they all seem to be clear. I've been vacuuming the water out every few days, and finally this weekend I am able to get into it.
When I pulled the seats, this is what it looked like
When I got the carpet and padding up there was about a half inch of water left, and I had vacuumed the carpet and padding before I removed them. There was some water in the section under the seat, and is probably moving from there to the back, since I park on a slight incline, but I can't rule out the possibility that it is getting into the back and moving to the middle. There isn't any water in the driver foot well, just a bit of dampness from wicking.
Any ideas/suggestions would be greatly appreciated. If I don't figure it out tomorrow, I will take some more photos and post them.
Thanks in advance,
Nate
