I have a 2000 buick century. The windshield wipers are stuck straight up. It is probably the wiper motor, but i saw on a youtube video where a person bent a tab on the wiper motor a certain way so that the wipers would catch and not go straight up. I cant see which way they bent it or how to even do it because the video was poor quality. Does anyone know what i mean and could describe how to bend the tab back to normal position?

I had this issue on my 98 century. Basically the wipers worked perfectly but when turned off they stop with the wipers up. It has to do with the motors parking magnets from what i was told. I was told i needed a new wiper motor, but that was like 70$ so i just wired a switch from the fuse line on the passenger door fuse box and ran the wire and switch along the bottom of the dash and drilled a hole in the lower panel under the column. So basically my factory control, controls the wiper delay speed and my new switch cobtrols the motor power. So when the wiper reaches the bottom of the window i just flip my switch cutting power to the motor. And for comfort reasons i fused my switch line. I paid 3$ for a switch and fixed it in 30 minutes. I'll eventually buy a motor but it was a easy fix to correct such an annoying problem.
