2000 LeSabre Horn / AirBag Replacement Drivers Side

Does anyone know a place to get a 2000 LeSabre Horn / Airbag Replacement Drivers Side. I ordered a Steering Wheel with airbag from a 2001 LeSabre and the connections are different from the 01 to the 00 I own, so it does not fit / work.

Any ideas or locations would be appreciated. It seems no junk yards near me have any to be found. The reason for all this was because the horn does not work, it seems something expanded in the airbag area causing this to happen, so the option was to replace the whole thing.

Thank you very much! The mechanic I had ended up taking out the current one and then disconnected the horn cable to it to add in a separate button then reinstalling it. Well long story short, even after doing that it still seemed to honk 24/7 so he thinks there is along the wiring something else also causing it to occur. But I really appreciate it!

Indeed. Disconnect the battery and take all other precautions when messing with the airbag.

Oh, I agree completely. The 01 airbag I got is still in its box it came in and that is in the far corner of my garage. I have called many junk yards near me and none of them will take it off my hands, I even offered to pay them.

So the wire harness is different on the 00 to 01? Im guessing you can't use a 02 to 05?

Yep, the 00 is one type of wire harness and then the 01-05 is the other type.

I guess it makes sense since 2000 was the first year of the new and final design of the lesabre.
