2001 lesabre won't turn over/crank

Hello all. I need some help. I replaced both front bearings, tstat, coolant sensor and repaired a broken abs wire on their rear of an 01 lesabre. Here's their issue now it won't crank. Battery is good all lights work starter was tested as good and also spins when jumping it with a screw driver. I have checked all fuses relays seem to be good tested them ignition switch and it shows to be good. I have 12 volts to their starter but nothing to the purple wire going to these solenoid. I did test this with someone turning the key for me. I am stumped and could really use some help and advice.

While you're turning it over put a spark plug tester on the spark plug wires. Make sure you get good spark. If not, then you have a problem on the electrical side - could be a bad ground, ignition control module, or a bad crankshaft position sensor.

If you have good spark then check your fuel pressure, once with key on engine off, then start - PSI should not drop more than 5-10 psi, then turn the engine off and key off and see if the PSI goes to zero - if it does then you have a bad check valve in the fuel pump.

Sounds like the anti theft system. Try a different key

Sorry - misread your problem - so you can't get it to turn over? Won't even engage the starter without jumping the starter leads?

Could be the security as mentioned earlier by 1380Ken - buy a used starter from the junkyard and see if that fixes it. I bought a used one from the JY last year when I broke the starter flywheel cage - the used one looked brand new but wouldn't start the car. Went back and got another used one - this one looked old a dirty - put it in and it's working great ever since.

Also - check your ground wire connections to the frame/engine - wherever they are - clean them up and also clean your battery terminals really well - take the cables off and clean in between the metal connectors of the different wires.
