2001 regal ls idling and stalling issues

I have a 2001 Regal LS that has had one owner before me and my husband. The previous owner took very good care of the car. We got an emissions test done on the car right after we bought and it passed but that same day the check engine light came on....turns out the catalytic converter went bad. However about 2 months after we bought the car it started to stall and it would idle higher than it should have been. I took it to my mechanic and the throttle sensor was bad. I have no question but before I took my car in to get it fixed I tried to research what was wrong with it and got no help. I thought this might help someone who is in the situation I was in. It was $250 to replace and my car has run perfectly fine ever since then ( minus the power window issues I'm having) I hope this helps
