I had to have a body shop replace my bumper and grill . While the oem gm bumper is still available , the oem gm grill has been discontinued.
So I gave the ok for an aftermarket grill, as if I had a choice , the new grill did not come with the round grill emblem . And according to my research neither did the oem gm grill . Other research indicated that in the past when the oem gm grill was still available a statement like when they bought this grill they also bought the necessary grill mounting hard ware along with one front fender emblem , oem gm part # 25713251 , which is still available , preceding part number was gm 25699941 . So is this really the case , is my new fender emblem going to fit in that little spot on the grill , not so fast the picture I have of the fender emblem has a protruding bulky fastener on the rear of the part , neither the oem grills or the after market grills have a hole to accommodate this fastener , am I going to modify the new part to fit , I don’t know but before it arrives in the mail any information about this would be greatly appreciated.
