2003 Buick Century switchback install

Hey everyone been having a hard time installing a pair or LED switchbacks on my century, I just put them in straight from the box expecting to simple get hyperflash without installing my resistors, instead I blew a fuse. I replaced the fuse and am now only getting Amber flash no white for my DRL. I thought maybe that fuse had blown but its good, I read some regal owner did a 12 volt connection from a cigarette lighter or something of that nature , but I'm not sure about that. Will adding the resistors do the trick? I took out one led and have the OEM on the left side the DRL shines then it blinks, but on the right side I'm only getting an Amber turn light with no DRL white or Amber.
