I need help diagnosing my car. Abs light is on. Park brake light on. Codes u-1000 and u-1255. I have access to all data for this car for the next 20 days. Please help! Ty
No other codes.
Scan tool does not communicate with brake module.
Traction control light never comes on. When key is in the ignition and in the run position at start up the traction control light does not light up. It never does. On prndl stick traction control button is there. When pressing the traction control button nothing happens on the dash but I can see that the button is sending a message to something because I can see the input change on the scan tool.

Check the BCM connector

I have. Unplugged it and checked all pins for corrosion. Everything looking good. No bent pins. Any thing specific to look for?

Are you a new owner of the car? Any work done recently? History will help.

I am a new owner. I have no history from the guy I bought it from. He said the light came on and he decided to get rid of it. No work done recently.

First I would check all connections and fuses. You can try a simple reset by disconnecting the battery for 20 minutes and allow a relearn. See if the BCM is original and not marked rebuilt, used, marker painted with year and model. If son then maybe it was replaced and not programmed correctly or just the wrong one. If original then that could alos be bad. I assume this is not a stolen/insurance buyback, flood or salvage title car?

Fuses checked - entire big box under hood, small box under hood next to big box, under back seat and under glove box. All fuses good. Any other places for fuses I missed?

I disconnected the battery over night lights still on.

BCM is not marked with any thing besides what appears to be oem sticker.

Vehicle was sold to me as a clean title. Car is in great shape, not a flood car or rust bucket. 1 owner.

I guess your left to find out if your bcm is good. No way to bench test or use a scan tool since its not communicating. You will have to contact a service like what I linked too or potluck with Ebay or Junkyard.
