2003 Buick Park Avenue Ultra FOB not programming through TECH 2

Went to a locksmith to get key fobs, when they tried to program them through the Tech 2 tool, it went
into programming mode (doors locked/unlocked) but it would not recognize the remotes, several tried.
Before I go to the dealership to shell out $175 for each remote (already did $50 to locksmith) any idea
what could cause this? Thanks

It sounds like the remotes are not compatible. Are the remotes OEM? If so, do they have the correct FCC ID? Click Here for more info?

The remotes are compatible, Locksmith tried their remotes also, cleared all RKEs.
Locksmith stated dealer need to correct issue, but I also check all the fuses.
Dealer wants $112 + $50 for each remote, so guess I'll be using the old fashion key .

I am sorry to hear that the locksmith could not program the remotes. Were the remotes original OEM, with the correct FCC ID number, or were they aftermarket remotes?

Thanks, they were the correct FCC, we validated that had the 1 and 2 on them also.
