My son has a 2003 Buick Regal LS that I replaced the blower motor on just about a month ago. It had been working intermittently for a month or so and had developed a squeal. Now the blower has stopped working again. This car has the automatic dual climate control system in it. Do you think that control module panel is going bad (all the buttons and display appear to be working as they should)?

If the blower motor developed a "squeal", I would suspect a defective blower motor. Is the motor running full speed when you have limited air flow, or is it intermittent?

The old motor had developed a squeal so I replace it. It worked great for about a month or two and now it will not blow at all. The only air circulated through the vents is related to the speed the car is being driving....ie. going down the interstate more air comes through the vents than when driving in town. The display on the digital climate control panel shows the fan speed changing when you make adjustments to the controls but the air just doesn't blow out of the vents. I have seen people reference a blower motor resistor that is under the hood near the firewall and other say the resistor is within the digital control panel. Does anyone know which is the case for this car?

I have a 2003 Buick Regal. I have heat and AC. The blower started working intermittently last fall when I shut the AC off in the morning due to cool weather. That afternoon I turned it back on and the blower didn’t work. Turned the car on and off a couple times and it started working. It worked intermittently till winter. I didn’t turn on or off / change the settings all winter and it worked all winter thankfully. Set on high at 74 degrees. This spring I turned it off due to Warm weather and it has not worked since. The only air circulated through the vents is related to the speed the car is being driven...ie. going down the interstate more air comes through the vents than when driving in town. Does anyone know what the issue is?
